Web app

gistbrief.com and the installable app

  1. 1.1.3

    Fixed

    • Run scheduled jobs only in production
  2. 1.1.2

    Fixed

    • Line up the header with the page content at every screen size
  3. 1.1.1

  4. 1.1.0

    New

    • Add a changelog page with what's new in each release
  5. 1.0.0

    New

    • Save one link, scan a whole site and pick the pages you want, or search the web and save the best sources
    • Pages are saved as clean, readable text, and a link you've already saved isn't saved twice
    • AI briefs: a short summary and tags for every saved page, with a choice of AI model and its cost shown before you generate
    • A private library with full-text search, tag filters, and unread, read and archived items
    • Save from anywhere: the browser extension, a bookmarklet, and the Share menu on Android
    • Saving keeps going after you close the tab, and pages that fail to load are tried again
    • A weekly digest email with the links you saved that week, which you can turn off at any time
    • Buy credit packs or a custom amount, see every charge in your credit history, and get credits back automatically when a save or brief fails
    • Welcome credits once you verify your email
    • Sign in with email and password or with Google
    • A getting-started checklist for new accounts
    • Export your whole library as CSV or Markdown, and delete any item or your whole account
    • Light and dark themes
    • Features, pricing, FAQ, about and contact pages, a blog, and "Ask AI about GistBrief" in the footer

Browser extension

Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera

  1. 1.0.0

    New

    • Save the page you're on with the toolbar button, Alt+Shift+G, or the right-click menu
    • Save a link without opening it: right-click it and pick Save link to GistBrief
    • Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera
    • Asks for no access to your sites: it reads a tab's address only when you save it
    • Pages that can't be saved, like browser settings, show a "!" badge instead
    • Installing it ticks off "Save from anywhere" in the getting-started checklist
